our LEGACY
Our story began in mid-1800’s Brooklyn with an American manufacturer and visionary, Eliphalet Williams Bliss. Bliss established the E. W. Bliss Company to produce metal containers, and eventually grew his business to include developing munitions that serviced the Spanish–American War, WWI & WWII.
At the height of his company in the early 1900’s, one of his major manufacturing spaces was located here at the current home of Sunset Machine Co. Some things have changed around here since the E.W Bliss Company last occupied this space, including updated technology and security, but we’re committed to keeping his industrial legacy alive. We’ve repurposed this historic industrial building to provide you with an inspiring space that is enriched with deep history.
